This is a fully accredited course meeting Government, Association and Health Fund requirements
This course, which is a combination of in class intensives and homestudy, may be undertaken as a two year course (see Cert IV above for first year information), or as a second year of study for those who already have the Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice HLT40302 or HLT40307.
This two year massage course takes place with Maureen Harmony & The College of Healing Therapies in Dubbo, NSW and Sunshine Coast, Qld with practical sessions once a month, or as six day intensives (with homestudy and massage practice)
The next Coolum Diploma course commences February, 2012 (a weekend a month x 18 or two Mondays a month x 18) or 15 March, 2012 (6 x 6 day intensives).
The next Dubbo course commences February, 2012 (a weekend a month x 18 or intensives).
Please enquire about completing the required Diploma modules in 2012 if you already hold a Certificate IV HLT40307.
The second year of the Diploma HLT50307 is a combination of Advanced Massage Skills, Genuine Deep Tissue, Spa Therapy, Myofascial Release, Reflexology and Aromatherapy studies and this HLT50307 course is accredited and is ABSTUDY / AUSTUDY approved as a full time course (please contact me for details on how to apply for abstudy/austudy).
The course is a combination of eighteen in-class intensives (one weekend a month or six x six day intensives) and homestudy and home practice. The pre-required Certificate IV in Massage is taught in the first nine weekends/first 3 six day blocks, and the Diploma content in the following nine weekends/second 3 six day blocks. Therapists with a Certificate IV can apply for RPL for the Certificate IV content.
Graduates of this Diploma course will receive the Diploma of Remedial Massage HLT50307 and transcript. This is nationally recognised training, which is also accredited with ATMS and meets Health Fund requirements. The Diploma also meets requirements to apply to be a massage provider with Workcover (workers compensation).

Diploma of Healing Therapies
Recognise your healing skills and learn how to use them safely and effectively
Learn hands-on healing and other therapies from an expert in the field of holistic therapies.
This course concentrates on the study of holistic therapies.
The two year course enables you to recognise your holistic and metaphysical healing skills, to understand the universal energy that flows through everyone and everything, and shows you how to use the skills and energy safely and effectively.
Monthly practical weekend sessions will be held in Peregian Beach (plus home study and home/clinic practice). Intensives will be organised if sufficient interest.
Learn hands-on healing and other holistic therapies. Benefit from my 30 years as a Metaphysician (one who assists you to manifest your positive goals and dreams by clarifying your fundamental nature of reality).
Therapies include reflexology, reiki, polarity, colour therapy, aromatherapy massage, metaphysical aromatherapy, meditation, using a pendulum, understanding the mind and its influence on our life, psychosomatic illness, etc.
Due to the metaphysical content of the course no RPL (except for anatomy and physiology) is given for previous courses undertaken.
Techniques and course content is holistic in every aspect - considering the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of yourself and of your future clients. The content is holistic (not religious) based and respects everyone’s personal beliefs. You do not have to follow or worship any specific beliefs to participate
All course content is presented in a very practical and down-to-earth manner to enable you to gain and expand your knowledge in your healing skills and increase your confidence to use them
Tuition is payable in instalments and includes portable massage/reiki table plus textbooks, semi-precious gemstones, pendulum, aromatherapy oils, etc.

Diploma of Clinical Aromatherapy
This course concentrates on the study of Aromatherapy. It is an Australian Traditional Medicine Society accredited course and meets Health Fund requirements.
Course content is comprehensive and interesting, and concentrates on the study of Aromatherapy* and includes Aromatherapy Full Body Massage Techniques, Advanced Aromatherapy Studies, Practical Aromatherapy, Psycho Aromatherapy, Aromatherapy for men, women, children and animals, Mixing of essential oils to make aromatherapy products, Supervised Practical Clinical Training (in class), Anatomy and Physiology and lots more. Tuition includes many extras.
*Clinical Aromatherapy has a ‘holistic' influence on the body, thoughts and emotions, and is a therapy suitable for both male and female clients. Its abilities are so vast that it can be used with the majority of symptoms, e.g. to calm a baby or relieve the pain of arthritis or enhance the alertness of a student or athlete in a safe and body balancing way. It can aid in toning muscles, relaxing nerves and enhancing your overall massage results. Clients have commented on the longer lasting results from the massage when particular aromatherapy oils have been used.

Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy
This PCHA accredited course is designed for medical and natural therapy trained practitioners who wish to work within a holistic* framework. (*holistic therapy focuses on the body, thoughts and emotions as a whole)

It is my personal and clinical experience over the past twenty five years that everyone can achieve a more satisfying quality of life by changing unwanted thoughts and habits.
With the aid of Clinical Hypnotherapy you can help your clients..... overcome unwanted habits (overeating, smoking, etc), improve their self image, master new skills, improve their memory and concentration, release past unpleasant experiences that are causing dis-ease within the body in a gentle, non-traumatic way...and lots more that I will share with you during the course.
Practical sessions for the Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy (a PCHA accredited course) take place eight weekends or four x four day intensives during the year (e.g. between February and December) with homestudy in between course weekends.
Course content is comprehensive and interesting, and concentrates on the study of Hypnotherapy and includes The Conscious and Inner Conscious Mind, Hypnotherapy techniques and their practical application for symptom removal, Self hypnosis, Counselling skills, Emotions and understanding their effect on the body, and lots more. The course content is presented in a practical and easy to understand format with lots of case history references and opportunities to practice your new skills under supervision. Graduates of the course are eligible to apply for membership to the Professional Clinical Hypnotherapists of Australia Inc. without having to undertake further assessment.

Anatomy and Physiology course by correspondence
This correspondence course is for the student who wishes to qualify in Anatomy & Physiology, or to refresh their A & P knowledge, or for the student who needs A & P to complete a course and for those who want more than a fun course.
The course covers in-depth information about the structure and function of the body required for Massage, Aromatherapy, Hypnotherapy, Reflexology (and like courses) or for health occupations
The correspondence course (including Tutor contact) will cover an in-depth study of all systems of the body. There will be four written theory reviews (exams) through the course (these can be done in your location). Assistance is given for people with learning difficulties.
You have contact with your Tutor (Maureen Harmony) to help you determine accuracy of your answers in the study guide (not an exam) as each chapter is completed, plus when and if you need additional assistance during the course.
This course satisfies the A & P requirements for Maureen’s massage & aromatherapy courses, and upon successful completion, students will receive a Statement of Attainment for HLT07 Health Training Package unit 'Confirm Physical Health Status' plus a transcript outlining the content of the module.
This module is HLTAP501A (Diploma level) or HLTAP401A (Certificate IV level), depending on which course A&P course you have enrolled in.
Tuition includes text books, study guide and wall charts.
